How do you use guided meditation for sleep?

Meditation takes some training, but it’s not hard. What you’ll notice when you first sit down to meditate is that your mind will be filled with thoughts — all sorts of distractions will arise. The trick is to train your mind to focus on your breath; with guided meditation, it’s a bit easier. You will focus on the instructions that you are listening to.

UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center has free online guided meditations that you can try. Or you can look for a guided meditation class in your neighborhood.
