Misfit Ray
The Misfit Ray tracks steps, sleep, and gently vibrates when incoming calls and texts come in, covering the basics at a low price point.
Overview
If it’s simplicity you’re after, the Misfit Ray may be right up your fitness alley. It’s a barebones fitness device that works in conjunction with your cell phone and retails for as low as $39.99 at Amazon and a few big box electronics stores. Compared to other fitness trackers, it’s a bargain. But you get what you pay for!
Let’s start with the price
I purchased the Misfit Ray in a basic black color; the tracker is made of an anodized aluminum, and it comes with a plastic wrist strap and three button batteries. Before I made my purchase, I noticed the prices rose when I clicked on various colors; some went as high as $79.99. I’ve seen Misfit Rays sell for more, too. You have to compare prices.
The Misfit Ray is iOS and Android compatible. Its range away from your phone is 30 feet, but it does have a memory. So, if you go for a walk or run and leave your phone at home, you can input your steps once you return.
