Battery life

My battery lasted 11 hours. It’s just like using your phone; when you use more apps, the battery needs to be recharged more. A friend of mine who has the Spark 3 with music downloads sometimes recharges her battery every day, depending on how much music she listens to.

The Spark 3 comes with a charger that’s easy to use.

Maps and GPS navigation

This is one of the best reasons to get a Spark 3. The navigation is spot on. When I take my walks, I like to change my routes. I can plug in the destination, and my Spark 3 shows me the route.

Fitness tracking

Even at the basic level, the TomTom Spark 3 tracks walking, running, cycling, swimming, and gym workouts. It also tracks your sleep. The best part is the GPS for mapping out routes.

TomTom knows tracking, and I found the device to be accurate regarding the distance I traveled. It tracks the amount of time you’re sleeping, too. But I can do that by looking at my alarm clock, so I don’t use the Spark 3 to track sleep.

In the daytime, you can program your Spark 3 to remind you to get up and move. I spend a lot of time in front of the computer. For people like me, the reminder is helpful.

It’s waterproof, up to 130 feet, which is great if you use it for tracking laps.

Software ease-of-use

To be honest, I don’t like reading tech manuals. I was able to find a lot of information on setting up my Spark 3, including how to use it; YouTube has a lot of useful videos.

When I was perplexed, I called TomTom’s tech support. I was surprised at the next-to-no-wait time. The tech person I spoke to was extremely helpful.

I’m on a PC and use an Android phone. My TomTom Spark 3 was completely compatible with both.

One of the best reasons to purchase a TomTom Spark 3 is its GPS, which is quite accurate. Plus, it's less expensive than compatible wearables, making the device a good value.
